Learn to play “GOLF-SHOTS”

How many times have you hooked, sliced, pull-hooked, and pushed-slice your golf ball? Of course you meant not hit those shots, right? Well, I have hit those shots and know the feeling. But how about hitting a fade, draw, push, or hook on purpose? For some of you — you probably already know how. For most golfers — you can learn to hit “golf-shots” on purpose. What do I mean by the term – GOLF-SHOT? Golf-Shot: A shot that is played to advance the ball in such a manner to control the ball by way of the following:

1. Quarter-swing, half-swing, three-quarter swing
2. Ball back in stance for low trajectory by way of hands finishing low
3. Fade – ball feet — player aims body way left, but keeps club-face aimed at target — player swings as usual but on the forward swing player does not allow the tow of the club to pass the heal
4. 60 yard to hole with “fluffy lie” player can take 56 wedge — grip down one inch and swing back three-quarter to full finish
5. Bunker with little sand as in “hard-dirt” play shot with pitching-wedge over sand-wedge

Above are just a few examples of the many ways to “play golf-shots.” When you play golf there will be many occasions where you do not need to make a “full-swing.” If you would like to learn to play a certain type of golf shot, call The Arizona Golf Instructor, Rob Camacho. Rob Camacho can teach and coach you to play low and high shots as well as fades, draws, and any other type of golf-shot that you would like to learn how to play. 7 ways to improve your golf game by Phoenix Golf Lessons

Tempe, Scottsdale, and Phoenix Golf Learning Center, by Rob Camacho, Arizona Golf Professional:

I strongly believe that all high handicap golfers, intermediate golfers, and beginner golfers can improve their golf play.

Here is how:

1. Know your distance with each club
2. Know how far you carry the ball in the air with each club
3. Practice (yes I am stating the obvious here, but most of really don’t)
4. Learn to “play to shots”
5. “Play” and learn while you play 9 holes
6. Play par three courses and executive golf courses (you still have to get the ball in the hole there too, so don’t down play the facility)
7. Hire a professional to guide you and help you reach your potential. For most of you out there – you would rather spend several hundred dollars on equipment, then seek professional help.

“Golf Playing Tips” By Phoenix Golf Pro, Rob Camacho

I played six holes yesterday with my step-son and friends yesterday. The best thing for me is to offer a suggestion/recommendation (golf tip) and see the positive results with just a slight adjustment. When I play casually, I offer “golf tips” when I feel a player is struggling, but I do pick my spots when to step in. But mostly I leave golfers alone to “play” so they can get through the hole and onto the next.

Here are some “playing -golf – tips” I may point out while on the course:

* Yardage – take one more club
* Play 3 or 5 wood – driver is not needed
* Adjust for wind and take less or more club
* Adjust for lie (uphill, downhill, sidehill, and divot)
* Use your 5 wood to chip onto the green
* Play the ball low – finish your swing low (hands-low)
* Play the ball high – finish your swing high (high-hands)

Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix, Arizona Golf Lessons/Instruction for long term improvement by The Arizona Golf Instructor

What does it take for golfers to really improve? Could it be time, patience, skill, determination, attitude, luck, equipment, golf lessons, golf tips, golf coaching, and more…??? I can say with confidence – all the above. I strongly believe that every golfer who wants to get better can and will, so long as he or she is willing to make a mental commitment for positive change.

But change what? I mean change what you want to change. Yes I know I am stating the obvious, but if you are tired of not being consistent, shooting poor scores, lack of distance, or any part of your golf game that could use a watchful eye, then call for help. I have met many golfers who were reluctant to ask for professional help. Why? Is it ego? Is it fear of criticism? Perhaps some golfers already know golf, and they do not need to PAY for golf instruction and coaching? Whatever the reason is, I personally invite you to call me for help with your golf game. You will be pleasantly surprised that just one golf lesson/session can make a huge difference in your game.

Phoenix, Scottsdale,Tempe, Arizona Golf Swing Instruction & Golf Lessons

Tempe – Phoenix – Scottsdale – Arizona Golf Lessons/Golf Instruction for the beginner, intermediate and advance players by Rob Camacho

Today I was reading Golf Digest Magazine from 1996 that I saved, the November issue to be exact. The cover featured Tiger Woods, the year he turned pro – the year that Tiger changed golf worldwide. In his first professional golf tournament at the Greater Milwaukee Open, Tiger’s first golf tee shot was a 336 yard smash! It was obvious that he belonged on the PGA TOUR. It is amazing that it will be 12 years this August that he has been golf’s major influence.

The first time I witnessed his greatness in person was at The 1992 Nissan Los Angeles Open. I was standing near by as I watched him tee off at number 10 at Riviera Country Club. I could just tell that his golf swing was of professional caliber. The next time I watched his golf swing in person was at Del Mar Country Club in 1995 where I was employed at that time. His golf swing was even better and of course he produced more clubhead speed. I had a strong feeling that he would be a force on tour one day. And I am sure I was not the only one who thought that way, back in the early 1990’s.

Tiger will be missed now that he is out for the rest of the year. We will all just have to wait and see what he does in 2009. I am sure there will be multiple wins and perhaps more majors.
