Payne Stewart was (still is) one of my favorite PGA TOUR players. He had an awesome golf swing, which he made it look so easy. But one thing that impressed me the most was the fact when he won the 1987 Bay Hill Invitational (Arnold Palmer’s tournament); he donated his $108,000 winner’s check to the Florida Hospital Circle of Friends in memory of his father. You see his father, Mr. Bill Stewart died of cancer in 1985. It makes me think of how fortunate I am to still have my father alive and well to play golf with. I have always respected Mr. Payne Stewart as a true professional and human being.
