Who Else Wants A Better Short Game?
Phoenix / Chandler /Tempe / Scottsdale / Mesa / Gilbert – Arizona Golf Instruction: Update for January 6, 2011
Do you believe you can lower your golf score(s) if you have a better short game? Are you tired of those blow-up-holes, or those holes where you give yourself an X on the card when you really would have posted a 11 on your score card? Are you embarrassed by those easy yet difficult chips, pitches, and bunker shots. And, what about the number of holes where you three-putt?
Well, if you answered YES to all the above, then what is holding you back from a seeing a professional for help? I know and you know that you really want to be a better golfer, especially when you put yourself in position to score. It’s 2011 so why not make this year the YEAR to improve.
For help and answers to how you can improve your short game, call or email me.

Golf Practice With Your iPOD
Arizona [Phoenix / Tempe] Golf lessons Update for: Monday, Nov. 22, 2010
Do you tend to get bored while at the driving range? If so, then take your ipod
with you and turn it on. You may find yourself in a better state of mind to have a meaningful practice session. You may also benefit from “tuning” out any noise around you as well as any negative “noise” in your mind.
If your intention is to release some strees, then listening to music while at the range may be a good combo for you. I stress this to all of my students: Always aim your clubface
at a specific target, and swing your golf club in the DIRECTION of your target.

Don’t You Want To Feel Good About Yourself?
Phoenix, Arizona Golf Lessons Update for Monday, November 8, 2010
Solid contact with all your golf clubs is what you want, right? Are you tired with all the “golf tips” and how you too can add 10, 20, and 30 yards to your tee shots? Really?! Look, if you have played other sports, then you accepted the fact that other athletes can run faster, throw harder, and jump higher. But in golf if you drive it [once] 250, then you expect to drive 250 every time, and then why not add 10 more yards, right? Perhaps distance may help you score, but you know that a long tee shot can make you feel real good about yourself. My experience as a golf teacher/coach is that most golfers want to make solid contact and to be consistent. The most popular word I hear is “consistent,” not distance.
If you are tired of the frustration and confusion, then I may be of help. I can’t help you if you don’t ask. Feel free to contact me to see if I am the right golf coach for you.

24-Hour Golf Range?
Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Arizona Golf Lessons: Update for Tuesday, October 12, 2010
There is a 24-Hour Golf Range, but it is not here in Arizona – it is in Sacramento, CA called Haggin Oaks. Well it is open 24-hours from May – September. But haven’t you ever thought about hitting golf balls in the middle of the night, right? And what about a golf lesson at 2:00 a.m.? Just a thought…
Fiddlesticks is open until 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday year round. FYI - You can book a golf lesson/coaching session with me at 11:00 p.m. if you are interested. For information about golf coaching, please contact me directly.

Are You Ready To Quit Golf?
Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe, Arizona Golf Lessons Update: Tuesday, October 5, 2010
With all the resources available to consume golf help – you know, the Internet, books, videos (YouTube), Golf Channel, and golf lessons why is it that golfers quit? Golfers quit beacuse they just don’t get better. The golfer who improves to make better ball contact will continue with golf. And, if you think people give up on golf becuase golf is too expensive, well no that’s not it. The addicted golfer will find a way to pay for golf.
What about golf lessons, golf instruction, golf schools, golf swing coaches, golf training aides, and golf fitness trainers? Do you really need a golf lesson? Do you need to hire a swing coach? Do want to pay for someting that may not work? But what if paying for help does work?
Consider below if you are thinking about paying for golf swing/game help:
Golfer: I tried lessons before and it did not help.
My reply: Did you practice? Did you ask questions? Did you agree 100% of what the instructor was telling you what to do? Did you improve on the first lesson?
Golfer: I bought new clubs rather than spending money for golf instruction.
My reply: Do you know how to swing your new clubs? Are your new golf clubs fitted?
Golfer: I just don’t trust golf instructors.
My reply: Did you have a bad experience in the past? Why don’t you trust golf instructor(s)? Did he/she mess you up? Are you thinking that he/she may change your swing his or her way? Do you think you will get worse before you get better?
If you are on the borderline of quiting golf I extend this offer: Contact me to discuss. The cost to save a fellow golfer is worth my time, and your time with no financial cost to you. So now you are on the tee box…your move…

Superio Golf Adds Fairway Shaft
Scottsdale Golf Lessons Update: Wednesday, September 29, 2010
SUPERIO FW-36T FAIRWAY SHAFT
I installed Superio’s new FW-36T Fairway Shaft in my Ping Rapture 5 fairway golf club last week. So here is my take:
1. Smooth feel.
2. I have gained 10 more yards carry distance.
3. Easy to work the ball from playing a fade to a draw.
4. Tighter shot dispersion.
5. I can practice longer with this shaft in my bag.
According to Superio: Superio FW-36T uses tour grade material, 36T carbon, which has very high elasticity for fairway wood shafts, combined with a MID kick point characteristic. What does all this mean? More fun!
I highly recommend this shaft as well all Superio’s shaft products. For more information about Superio, please contact me to discuss, and visit their website at http://www.superioshaft.com/index.html for more information.

!GOLFER BEWARE!
Golf lessons Phoenix -Scottsdale – Tempe, Arizona Update: Monday, September 27, 2010
The next time someone tells you to do this or that in regards to your golf swing ask why. “You want me to do what”? “How come”?
Here are very popular statements one golfer will tell another golfer in no particular order:
1. Keep your head down.
2. Keep your eye(s) on the ball.
3. Keep your left arm straight on your backswing [right hand player].
4. Hit down on the ball.
5. Don’t move your head.
6. Make a big shoulder turn.
7. Shift your weight.
8. Follow through.
9. Make sure your club is parallel at the top of your swing.
10. Swing straight back on your backswing.
So the next time you are on the golf range and/or golf course – ask why??
